Obviously another American author.

Firstly, and I noticed this straight away' Chaucer is involved in this tale set in 1431. He died in 1400. Far too many "if it please yous'" used wrongly, and again the dreaded American way of speaking which is always an annoyance in this type of story. All that now being said, the storyline itself wasn't bad...even though young Robert taking a fancy to the skinny, pathetic, overly pious wretch Thomasina came across as, strained credulity a fair bit.
