They just don't make shows like this anymore. The humor is simple, funny and it works. These are the kinds of shows that really cemented the phrase "British Comedy" The newer shows just don't have that same spark; they are becoming too influenced by American shows which are rubbish. So, when you copy rubbish you get second class rubbish! And when a show does appear that is in the same vein as the old British Comedy it's usually panned by the critics and dies after one series. Case in point "Teenage Kicks" and "Spy"
