I read this book(let) cover to cover. Although it covers a lot of the intolerance to freedom of expression seen right across the western world, I was struck by how much of it was relevant to the UK at the present moment. Imams can give public addresses each Friday calling for the murder of Westerners, and nothing is done about it for years, but anyone who expresses concern about what is going on is instantly condemned as a bigot. Tomorrow sees the publication of the Leveson report into the future of British journalism, which is expected to call for state regulation of the press (presumably by supporters of multiculturalism). If such a report is enacted, goodbye freedom, it was nice knowing you.

Why only 4 stars? The formatting in the Kindle version was terrible. Was difficult to figure out what was the main text and what was a reference footnote.

This book is well researched and illustrates every point made with source references given immediately after the text. The authors are unashamedly passionate about their cause and argue their case very thoroughly. I believe that tolerance and equality are extremely important. I loathe prejudice and therefore the concept of this book sits very uneasily with me. However, if even some of what they report is true then we simply cannot allow it to succeed. As always the first casualty of war is the truth.

Confirming what I already knew, Intolerance by the use of stealth & hair trigger sensitivity. The Saudi government should be held accountable for the funding of these dangerous crimes committed by terrorist groups.

A phobia is an unreasonable, irrational fear. Islam has a religious obligation to control and destroy all other faiths and laws, which may make non-Muslims have a very real reason for feeling less than relaxed.
Allah's holy Law of War is in fact the most important religious duty in Islam, obligatory for all Muslims. This is absolutely clear in the Qur'an, the Hadith-traditional stories, the very first valid histories by Ibn Ishaq and Tabari, and Islamic law. Islam must reign supreme over all other religions and laws. Jihad is the pinnacle of Islam.
Qur’an 9:29 Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.
The phrase la ilaha illa allah in the Qur’an: in Mecca 37:35, 38:4-10 and Medina 47:19.
In these it means religious war for supremacy against all disbelievers.
Qur’an 47:19 Muhammad So know that La ilaha illallah, there is no god except Allah.
Maududi says: This was at the time of the battle of Badr. It is also entitled al-Qital, the Fighting, because it gives the firm command for Jihad, and its theme is to prepare the Muslims for war against disbelievers and to give them instructions about those who kill and those who are killed:
Qur’an 9: 111 Verily, Allah has purchased of the believers their lives and their properties for (the price) that theirs shall be the Paradise. They fight in Allah's cause, so they kill and are killed.

Excellent and thought provoking. A must-read for anyone concerned about the rise of Islamic extremism but who approaches the subject with an open mind.

A must read for the people of the awakening.
Empirically sound and backed up, Islam and it's followers are growing inside our respective country's like the Alien that eventually bursts free from John Hurts chest.

This book is pretty scary - I wish it didn't ring true but it does. It's asking Westerners just exactly what we believe in and what would fight for. How seriously do we take Socrates? How seriously do we take Orwell?

Well written and presented book on the topic of the erosion of free speech and the attempts by various groups, both political and religious, to implement blasphemy and islamophobia laws in Europe. This is quite essential reading. Despite what some people may think, this is not a book based on bigotry or anti religious sentiment. It is a thought provoking and interesting read.

A very good read, a wake up call if you like. It makes sense what is written, it's going on all over the world

Quite what anybody is supposed to do about someone being fearful, I don't know! Islam is a fragile belief that is vulnerable to any rational discussion: hence believers want to prevent any discussion by altering democracy in a way that demonises rational thought, rather than demonising islam, They have succeeded, and this book lists the things democracies have given up: free speech in order to satisfy a tiny bunch of madmen that democracies are frightened of. The rulers in the time of the Crusaders knew only too well the evils of islam and attempted to wipe it out for the wrong reasons. Sadly it is back, (though not in as big numbers as you might think, more islamic escapees come to the west to than are joining it). The happy-clappy evangelicals are growing faster, but do not want special laws to protect their ignorance. It is amazing that after 400 years of enlightenment (something that never touched the islamic lot), the west bend over backwards to placate them. This book lists all the liberal trouser dropping and sucking-up. It makes nauseating reading. Amazon's sucking up will be that the will delete this review out of fear of islam:
