I found the writing style to be childlike with unnecessary detail such as who drank tea or coffee
18 August 2014
When I first started reading this book I did not think that I would be finishing it. I found the writing style to be childlike with unnecessary detail such as who drank tea or coffee, what they had to eat etc. I also found it wordy, and rather dragged out in places. However, I have just finished it, driven on by a desire to know who dunnit.
I found the victim very hard to care about considering her behaviour, and the ending seemed to come quite suddenly with the explanation of what happened a bit disappointing.
I have read so many much better writers I will not be reading another David Anderson offering, and I wouldn't particularly recommend this book to anyone, but if you're bored, and short of reading material, it is ok to while away a few hours.
