Great show, awesome occasion but some blu-ray issues.

I saw this show streamed live to my local Vue.I've seen Phantom countless times since 1986 and it remains a superb piece of theatre.
I now have the blu-ray but have the exact picture quality issues I experienced with Les Mis at the O2 on blu-ray.In dark scenes there is a noticeable flicker with what looks like ghosting.I've tried everything from reducing the definition from 1080p to 720p to adjusing general picture settings. The problem is still there. It is most noticeable at the start during the auction scene.
Has anyone else had this problem? I'm assuming now it's just to do with how the film was shot.I'd love to hear from anyone with a similar experience.
Ultimately it does not spoil a triumphant evening with the cast (particularly Ramin Karimloo) giving their all.
If you love the Phantom, then buy it.It's still brilliant and will always be so.
