hardcore heaven, vol.2
on 13 September 2005
this second installment of slammin vinyl's 'hardcore heaven' series has got to be the best hardcore compilation to have come out this year (so far). it seems harder than the first one did, which leaves you in no doubt whatsoever that this is hardcore.
sy's mix improves on the already high standard he set with the first album, his scratching is as ever top notch and it is just generally a superb mix, and the selection of tunes is fantastic, especially 'slide away', 'this life' and 'timebomb'. equally impressive is sy & unknowns exclusive v.i.p remix of pacific sun. this is definitely a one to make you want to get up and dance
brisk's mix is superb as always, this mix is definitely the best of the three, and also the hardest. its harder than his last mix and includes remixes of both 'angel eyes' and 'in your life', both of which are amazing. as is brisk & vagabond's remix of asa & s1 'reach out' which is one of the best songs on the whole album along with ham's 'in the club'. brisk never fails to please with his mixes, although i wouldnt say that this was any better or any worse than his last one because both are so damn good.
kevin energy's mix is fantastic, and in my opinion far better than on the first hardcore heaven album. it has some amazing tunes on it including 'i want freedom', and 'chemical terror' which is an absolute blinder.
so in all this ones better than the first hardcore heaven, and i thought it couldnt get much better than that, but this is well worth getting cos its not everyday you find a multi disc cd where all three cd's are as good as these
