Mostly 40's + 50's tracks.
on 27 December 2013
If you consider 40's + 50's recordings as the versions to own, this album should tick your boxes. Some of the better known tracks are different from the usual versions that you're likely to hear - for example tracks by Johnny Cash + Slim Whitman + Faron Young differ quite a bit from versions on their own hits collections, so it's possible (probable) that some of the other tracks are also not the best known versions.
C&W has progressed from the sounds on this album, but if you're a C&W fan it's probably a good buy if you haven't already got all these tracks. For anybody looking for an introduction to C&W, don't think this represents the sounds being produced these days.
