This is just one of a number of short novels written by Eric Meyer. They all try to give the story of the events leading up to probably one of the greatest war books ever written. Books about the creation of the Devil's Brigade. A unit which had great success in Vietnam, under the French.
All these short novels are well worth reading. All little master classes in keeping you interested without all the minor details that longer books contain.

Great book of the 2nd instalment of the devil's battalion. I enjoyed this as it seems a longer read, with a bit more detail thrown in compared to the 1st book. If your after a enjoyable easy read about the western front and the waffen ss , then this is what you need.

This book was a very absorbing read and keeps the reader interested in what happens in subsequent chapters. Eric Meyer certainly knows how to make the reader feel as if they are in the location of the action as it happens. I would recommend this and any Meyer novel to anyone who enjoys Second World War novels.

Very good author a very well told tale, and the mention of Sennelager brought back memories of my time in Germany where the regiment I was in did a very big amalgamation parade when the third and the sixth tank regiments merged into one
