An interesting and entertaining overview of the Eastern Front during WW2 containing much information that I personally did not previously know......and I have been a student of WW2 for 30+ years. Well done that man!

If you are into military history then this is an invaluable addition to your collection.

Very detailed and easy to read but became repetitive as figures blend into each other so although gives the number crunching facts of the horrendous waste of life, it is more for the statistician than the history buff.

This book is a decent account of the events in the East. It has to cover a huge amount of events over a period of a few years into a short book. But the author does this as well as he can.

I've read and got bogged down in many books about the Russo-German war. This was easy to read and fairly informative. It won't appeal to every one but I enjoyed it.

A great read - this may change your perspective of WW2 - the fortitude of the Germans and Russians in what was the greatest war in history, make the achievements of the UK and US seem lesser.

The tragedy is we were all taught at school that 'D-Day won it' - but this was Cold War nonsense - the West played down the war in the East when the Cold War started - by D-Day, the Russians were unstoppable and heading to Berlin - in Europe, WW2 was really all about The Third Reich v The Soviet Union. Sure, we had a role, but the Russians won the war, in a titanic contest which we were lucky in the West to escape.

Well done to the authors - compelling.

Excellent read. This is a fine book well worth the small purchase price. Pity it could not of been longer.
