Cheap and cheerful - good sound quality and comfortable
on 22 September 2013
With a budget headset like this the noise cancellation on the microphone is always a nicety, and it works well. I tried the headset in a background with a noisy TV in the background, and it largely hid this noise. Additionally, when deliberately talking relatively quietly, the sound level come out appropriately audible, only picking up a modest amount of additional background noise. Overall, the microphone pickup is more than adequate for the price point.
In terms of headset sound output, it's perfectly acceptable for listening to some music, with a warm tone and some bass. Voice output is clear and crisp, so for its key purpose it works very well, and would probably also be a good headset for gaming, where the sound effects will also come through well.
In terms of comfort, it's very light, the microphone perhaps didn't come down quite as far as I'd expected (but seemed to work OK anyway), and the padding is soft and comfy. The adjustment on size was neither too tight nor loose, and overall there is very little to complain about - it simply does what it would be expected to, competently and for an excellent price. Volume and microphone on/off controls on the lead are just optional extras here, but always welcome. Strongly recommended
