An enjoyable read, written in a style that makes you feel like the writer is talking to you personally. Love the honesty of the reviews and would recommended to anyone who has an interest in beer or wants to develop their knowledge in this area.

Bought this a couple of years ago on kindle and find myself regularly consulting it. Great notes on the beers and also on the history behind different styles. Written in an informal but very readable, non condescending way. Strongly recommended.

Many of my friends and colleagues spend hours discussing beer and I'm not even a fan of carbonated beverages most of the time. Other than sparkling wines here and there, I won't even touch lemonade or cola, etc. Ad sparkling water is just bland fizz. But with so many of my colleagues and friends having purchased this book, if there was ever a chance for me to start enjoying beer (especially beyond those of your typical bars and pubs), this book seems to have gotten me quite interested. I think it helps that the book is organised in a logical manner and you can search for keywords with the kindle. I tend to like sweeter drinks that the sour or bitter variety. Thanks!
