Like the other two reviews posted here I have only a mediocre experience to share. The problem for myself and my seven year old daughter wasn't so much the quality of the end product which was fine, despite the initial mixture being worryingly lumpy, but what to do with the thing afterwards! With only one endoskeleton provided with the set, you can't make any more figures without pulling the first one apart..! Once one figure has been created the whole thing feels a bit flat really; with a few tweaks this could be much more fun, however I suspect that as it has been designed around two episodes from the TV series, this will soon fall by the wayside.

Good toy, great price. Yes, you can only make one figure at a time - and need to 'destroy' your 'creation' to make another - but the price is so low now that this isn't really a great concern. I've seen this toy at ridiculously higher prices on the high street - so this is a bargain. The quality of Character Options Dr Who figures/toys is top notch.

a good idea and concept and fun to play with but the end results were poor, figures came out soft and fell apart even if left overnight, tried to add less water but not much difference, gave up and gift only last 2 days, we didnt use all the powder as we gave up

needs more development and it could be a lot better

Creates a terrible mess and my boy had no interest in it after the first go. No educational merit. Buy a bag of plaster of paris instead.

My nearly 8 yr old boy really wanted this - he had fun during the short time it takes to make although was quite difficult to 'fill' the feet area if the mix wasn't exactly the right consistency so had an even stranger boney footless squidy doctor clone. I thought he would be able to play with it after but its a weird slimey thing that is full of chemicals so you have to wash your hands etc after touching it. It hasn't inspired him to make any more and i'm relieved i only paid half price for it which now seems too much for the amount of time he's spent with it!

This is a good looking toy, really fired up the imagination of my 5 year old son, however, all the results did were to completely frustrate him and me.
The injector and mould into with which you push the plaster or 'flesh' into just cannot take the pressure you have to provide in order to make a decent plaster figure - the large plastic cork ALWAYS comes out, including the plaster, all over everywhere! Now we dont mind mess, if the results justify it, but in this case, unfortunately they didnt. its a shame, because if character had taken a bit longer to develop the product to overcome this problem, we would be enjoying creating figures and painting them and all the fun that goes along with that!! I would think twice because of this about buying it.
