Timeless classic that repays reading over and over again
on 15 September 2016
I've lost count of how many times I've read this classic and groundbreaking book that is so good on so many levels, as storytelling, as popular science, as philosophy, and as beautiful, sensitive, humane writing. This is probably the book I've given away as a gift more than any other. However I've now treated myself to the Kindle edition, because it's lovely to have it accessible to dip in to at odd moments whenever I want to revisit it, and it also allows me to preserve my ancient treasured paperback whose pages are yellowed and crispy now.
Highly recommended - but be warned, once you've read this, you'll want to read the rest of his books too.
(PS to the publisher - you need to check the references in the ebook edition - the links mostly refer to "Chapter 9" instead of the intended chapters. Please fix!)
