Having read the other novels in this series, I had high expectations, I wasn't disappointed. Gary Ponzo is a brilliant story teller and you can actually believe what you are reading is real. This is an edge of seat story about the trials and tribulations of a special team agent who has become a Sheriff in a small town but was called back to head the team within days. Blackmailed by terrorists and worrying about his pregnant wife. This book starts exactly where the first book ended so there is direct continuation. In this book Nick has to call on his 'underworld connected' cousin Tommy again and his long term partner Matt. This time they are hunting the 'one that got away' in the first novel. Easy to pick up and read even if you haven't read the first one in the series. All the characters are completely believable.
