Fun, but instructions could be better.

The included instructions are good, if a little light on detail. We tried to make caviar-esque Cuba Libres, but accidentally left the cola beads in the gelling material for slightly too long, and the beads produced turned out almost hard and quite unpalatable, while some of the cola leaked out into the gel itself. I think this is because the gel coating is actually still slightly porous, and the cola leaking out made it possible for the gel to get in, ending up in the beads being nearly all gel instead of gel-coated cola.
It was fixed the second time around, by taking out the beads very quickly after dripping the liquid cola into the gelling material, but this behaviour wasn't expected from the instructions alone.
Expect some trial and error, but definitely a talking point and very good fun at our party.
