Opens bottles, sticks to the fridge, and looks like Pac Man
on 6 June 2014
There's really not much to this product. It has one simple function; to open bottles. For that task alone, this product does everything you could need with no issues or hiccups.
What's worse than not having beer when you want one? I'll tell you what; not having something to open a beer with. When you have a beer in hand and want to open it RIGHT THIS NOW, it can be frustrating to rummage through the kitchen drawers, looking for the bottle opener which was right there yesterday. You search the house, trying to find where it was last put. The beer is gradually warming up as it awaits the sweet escape from the confinement of it's glass prison.
You bite the metal bottle cap. You've seen people do it on TV before, so it must be simple. A firm grip with your teeth, and a twist of the bottle. Maybe this bottle is different from the ones on TV, because your mouth is now sore, and there's no boozy comfort available yet. A great idea hits you, people use the edges of tables to open bottles! A chip in the kitchen worktop edge means there's explaining to do when the other half notices.
The toolbox is next. A hammer is maybe not delicate enough for the task. A screwdriver would be great, but you either have ones which are too big and don't fit under the edge of the bottle top, or too small and can't quite leverage the top up. Ah-ha, you have pliers! You grip, you twist and turn, only to find you have squeezed the top on tighter.
You didn't really want that beer anyway.
Imagine if, by some luck or previous judgement, your bottle opener was stuck to the front of the fridge. With magnets! Not only that, but if, but chance, you didn't put the opener back, it's robust size and colour means misplacing it is a challenge.
Yes, there's not much to this product. However, there's a awful lot to not having this product.
