I could only get this DVD on Region 2. Why hasn't it been released in the UK? This is a very funny and original cartoon, appealing to adults as well as kids. In essence, while Phineas and Ferb create their own world during the summer break, Perry, their pet Platypus, goes off to be a secret agent. So in each episode, you get two stories. And they are truly hilarious. Please buy these DVDs,if you have a multi-region DVD player. If you don't, petition your local government to approach the Disney corporation and demand the UK release of this wonderful animation. The characters are funny, loveable and memorable, the storylines are hilaroius, and, much like "The Simpsons", the occassional musical interlude leaves you tapping your toes and shaking your "thang". Great stuff. The best Disney has produced in a long time. Buy and Enjoy.(if you prefer a sample, the show is shown on the English channel "ITV" on Sundays around 8-9AM gmt).

TOP 500 REVIEWERon 1 January 2012
Phineas and Ferb, together with their interesting pet Perry the Platipus (aka Agent P) and their sister Candace, who would love nothing more than finally getting their adventures revealed to mum have summer holidays to get through, captured here in five episodes, including being a one hit wonder band, tuning their mother's car etc.

The reason the cartoon works so well is that it will appeal to kids, as well as not bore their parents to tears and it is one of the most refreshing cartoons in a long time. The humour is often good, the ideas interesting, and the harmonious relationship of the brothers something many kids could benefit from in their own relationships with their siblings. Perry the Platipus and his battle against the evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz adds the final element of hillarity. Even Candace, who somehow never manages to successfully tell on her brothers to mum, seems a happy enough camper. And then there are all the songs, to top it all off.

In a way it is akin to Dexter's Laboratory: Season One [DVD] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] but of a sort watchable by small children as well, at the same time not taking much away from their parents' enjoyment.

The only thing you may want to consider before purchase is that the episodes are watchable on Disney XD, so it will not really be anything new, if you have been following the show there - but it is still a good way to get your Phineas and Ferb dose when underway.

Be warned: there are some simple, addictive and fun catchy tunes on this - "Gitchee Gitchee Goo", "I'm Lindana and I Wanna Have Fun" and "My Nemesis" keep being sung in our house.

The audio track translations are all as good as the english language version. They are proper translations, not simple transliterations. Unusually one of the translations was russian (audio and subtitle) - Phineas sounds like Phineas, Ferb sounds like Ferb, but Buford sounds more of a bully.

If you've never watched Phineas and Ferb with your kids then do so. There's so much in it for the whole family to enjoy. The catchy songs, the evil scientist who wants to take over the entire Tri-State area and the platypus pet who is actually a spy. Lots of references that go over the kids heads, great scripts as well as some of the best comedy on TV. Not to be missed.

It's the first P & F DVD and it's brilliant of course. Easily the best animated cartoon on kids TV to please kids and their parents. So sharp and funny, even my 5-year-old get it and the songs are terrific. Shame they didn't just put the whole of the first series out but I'm sure that in time.....
At around 90 mins running time you get 10 episodes:
'One Good Scare Ought To Do It (Parts 1 & 2)'
'The Fast and The Phineas'
'Lawn Gnome Beach Party Of Terror'
'Are You My Mummy'
'Flop Starz'
'Raging Bully'
'Lights, Casndace, Action'
'It's About Time (Parts 1 & 2)'

And there's some kids games as extras.
I'd also recommend Phineas and Ferb which has over 20 awesome short, sharp tunes including the Bowling For Soup version of the theme song. It's all just genius!

Bought this a Christmas present for my 8 year old, he has others in the collection and is a die hard P & F fan so this is great to add to the collection.
