"Fluff T.V." mixed with bits of interesting documentary
on 3 November 2012
This is the kind of "documentary" to just turn on to have playing in the back ground to keep you company and every now and again you might see something interesting show up on it. You might hear about different types of rocks, how to make copper, cook sea weed,, how to care for baby seals. how to cook crabs,,,see some bats in caves...hover crafts......or you might hear about some black guy in WW2 that was discriminated against or you might actually see something more along what i was expecting to see when I bought this documentary..and that is THE COASTLINE OF BRITAIN AND ITS GEOGRAPHY WITH HISTORY MIXED IN AS WELL.
It seems to make seeming celebrities out of its presenters..."Neil Oliver"..."Alice Robertson".."Mark Hortan"..and a few others. While this seems irritatingly okay,,,,after reading all the suspiciously "Awesome!" 5 star reviews left on Amazon for it ,,I was not expecting such fluffy content.
I think this "documentary" is meant to be "entertaining" more than it is a realy scholarly effort..but is worth a look if you have not watched it yet. I think they missed a opportunity to do something more scholarly ..which would have interested other viewers instead.
