The YouTube videos make the removal of the two lower hidden screws on an HP G62 look easy. It is however quite difficult to find a screwdriver to allow access at the correct angle without chewing up the screws, both of which had thread sealant applied.
The rest of the task in removing the screen is not difficult but do it on a surface which will not allow any screws that fall out to get lost.
The price for the screen is far less expensive than getting HP to replace it. My only regret was that there was a hot transistor in the display.
The screen was late in arriving and although I emailed the supplier I did not receive a reply, the screen arrived later in the evening by recorded delivery which was not made clear. If tracking information had beed provided I could have checked its status.
