Top critical review
Great simple sleeve, but way overpriced.

It's difficult to be be overly critical of Amazon for pricing their own brand Kindle accessories as they do given the sheer number and quality of better value third party accessories which are in abundance right alongside Amazon's efforts here. Only the earliest of adopters will have such a limited choice when new form factors are launched.
I own and love the Kindle. Not the Kindle Keyboard, not the Kindle Touch, not the Kindle with Bells and Whistles - just the plain old Kindle. For me, it is the purest embodiment of an E-reader - I said so in my own review. In my opinion its form invites you to use it as it is, without any accessories. However, given that the Kindle is not yet quite at the price of a 'disposable' item, it is worth finding something to protect it whilst moving around. I wouldn't have one of the folding leather covers (or its cousin with the built-in light) for 2 reasons. First: price. I'm a huge fan of Amazon, but they really do ask too much when asking a penny short of £50 for a lighted cover. They're nice, but they should be a penny short of £30 at most!. Second: form. As I said, I prefer reading mine as it is - no distractions.
My compromise was this padded Zip Sleeve. It is the simplest of items. It's a couple of pieces of fabric stitched together with a zip along 2 sides. It does its job, it protects the Kindle, but £24.99? It's too much.
Don't get me wrong, it's a nice little item and works a treat, but I think I'm being generous by describing it as a tad overpriced.
