I couldn't find a better TV of this size
on 7 December 2012
There it is really. The TV has been in my kitchen for a week now and I'm getting a bit more used to it. I have other larger screen TV's in the house made by Panasonic and the pictures and sound are amazing. So, I wanted another Panasonic based on this experience but frankly what was on offer with a small screen was pretty poor according to the feedback and Which reports. I am not technically experienced but I understand that big screens tend to be plasma and brilliant and small screens tend to be LCD (as this one is) and so are 'different'. I opted for this Sony Bravia because of the feedback left by others and I cannot disagree with anything they have reported. The picture is not the best I have seen but it is adequate and probably one of the best for a TV with a smaller screen. It seems to me that HD pictures are very good but pictures originating from other sources lack clarity and suffer from drag as the camera moves, especially when panning up. Close ups tend to be better than long shots. Colours are a little muted in comparison to my other TV's and skin tones in particular are a bit odd. I find the 'Vivid' setting suits my taste. I have tried to alter the settings but have so far failed to find a set of settings that work well together and have reverted to factory settings for now. I'll keep experimenting. The sound quality is awful and I purchased a small cheap pair of Logitec speakers which have transformed it. They are small enough to sit behind the TV without being seen so all well there. I have never even tried the internet thing. I didn't buy it for that purpose. I guess if someone manufactures a TV with an amazing picture at this price I'll have a good look at it but for the moment I'll have to be satisfied with this one.
