The OED of lavatorial euphemisms. Accept no other.
on 8 May 2017
Richard Herring's foreword states that this 635 page book only contains descriptions of nine things; he clearly hasn't read it and just wrote that for a couple of quid.* What we actually have here is the most complete guide to lavatorial euphemisms ever published, including several new cartoons spoofing illustrations from classical literature.
This isn't a book you can use to look up what a Bartholin's Gland is, or any genuine word you may need to define. This is a book that will tell you what joining the yard-high club is, (sex in a caravan lavatory) what doing a Denis Norden is (chatting up a girl for far too long without getting to the point) and what a Barnsley Shag is (falling asleep during penetration).
It was published in 2010 but subsequent editions are shorter. Buy this book, it is the pan handle of them all. (qv)
*That is literally all he charges.
