Like her book on the Court Cards, this one went into my computer trash can pretty quickly. Don't make the same mistake I did. If you can't afford some of the really fabulous beginning Tarot books out there (Skye Alexander has a simple but lovely one on Kindle for £4.45)check the internet. However, I personally recommend Joan Bunning's Learning the Tarot: A Tarot Book for Beginners which is available on Kindle, Paperback and even FREE on the Internet. I have the paperback. Well worth the price. There are plenty of others. Anything by Mary Greer or Rachel Pollack will be well worth the extra cost. You don't have to settle for something this mediocre.
I was quite impressed with this book. For being basic, it covers quite a bit of information. It's written in a clear and concise manner, and it can easily be used as a springboard to launch you into a myriad of pursuits. The author gives the reader so much to work with, I frankly don't understand how anyone could be disappointed. As a CPTR for the American Tarot Association and an eclectic wizard, I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the Tarot. Whilst it's only a beginning, as the author herself admits, it is an excellent one.
