Julia Stone's solo album is a natural progression of her work with her brother, this album contains some beautiful and often dark tracks, such as Winter On The Weekend, which is stunning. This album comes as a beautiful digipack, the booklet contains a page for each song which has been done in the style of an old B Movie style movie poster. This is well worth purchasing.
I love this music but it is definitely not everyones taste and different to Julia Stone's usual music when she works with her brother Angus (I would definitely recommend their album "Down the way" by the way). This is a very intimate and dark album "winter on the weekend" is about rape for example. Julia's voice is quite unique and I would definitely recommend this album but I would listen to the songs on youtube before buying it if i were you because the cover is slightly misleading and the music is unusual. Its a great album!
