Really frustrating product
on 26 May 2013
This wall sticker is very fiddly to put up. First of all, the way it is packaged, with several folds, means that you have to be careful to press the creases out of it when putting it up. It would have been better if it had come in a roll like professional wall stickers do. The best way to put this up is with a metre stick and a spirit level, and possibly another pair of hands to get it straight and accurate. It is really difficult to place the sticker accurately because the lines to mark every ten centimetres are quite thick so you could end up at least 4mm off if you're not careful.
The worst thing about this product is that the sticker comes in two halves. So I had to try and line up the two halves using Pedro Pony's mouth and the bottom of Rebecca Rabbit's skirt as that is where the join line is. It would have been so much easier if the join line had been neatly cut during the manufacturing process. As it was, to get Rebecca and Pedro's parts to line up perfectly, the stickers had to over lap each other by about 3mm - really fiddly! Also, lining up the two stickers would have been a lot easier if they had used the same colours when printing each one!!! The top half of the wall sticker is a darker shade than the bottom one. Poor Pedro Pony looks like he has a skin condition. It's ridiculous that this was allowed to leave the factory.
However, the product gets two stars because my daughter is delighted with it, as a Peppa Pig fan. It brightens up the room but is inaccurately made and cannot be relied upon to get a correct height measurement. The price represents the character and not the quality.
