After the exciting ending of Season 1 Part 1, it was disappointing to find that the whole show seemed to take a different direction.

The good:

* More action
* More characters

The bad:

* Less actual intrigue that one care about
* Too many uninteresting characters

I know the series is called Caprica and not "The Greystones vs the Adamas", but it feels like too many uninteresting characters are introduced, and indeed they should have stuck more to the two families.

(The next paragraph contains minor spoilers.)
I was also very disappointed that they didn't explore the father/daughter relationships between Joseph Adama / Virtual Tamara and even more importantly Daniel and Virtual Zoe more. After all they might be the first cylons and that is central to the show. (Mafia and terrorist I can see in other dramas.) Sadly, in many of the episodes Virtual Zoe gets less on-screen-time than extended cast characters, and she just seems plain angry much of the time, rather than being like the virtual "real" person with mixed emotions she was supposed to be. How Zoe deals with not being real and the meeting with her mother could be "real juice", to quote hollywood slang.

(End spoiler warning.)

Overall the the show does save up to a conclusion, completing the story-arcs. Season Part 1 and Part 2 are very much a complete show, allthough the quality suffers in the second part. The final episodes are exciting though, but not epic.

3 stars - It's worth to see what happens, but be prepared to be bored by uninteresting characters parts of the time.

Short note: I'm not a fanatic, but they could have speared to make the monotheistic leader look like almost a real nun, sorry for being touchy, end of note.

This was dispatched quickly and well packaged. It pains me to write a negative review. I thought Battlestar gallactica was one of the best TV series if not the best ever made and was very excited to see this and tried my hardest to like it. i wasched all of season 1 but had to admit defeat by the second episode of season 2 I'm sorry it just isnt any good.
