Malty and light, these go down well with a cup of tea or coffee.
They are made from honeycomb with barley malt extract added, and surrounded in milk chocolate.
They used to be advertised as a slimming product (well, the honeycomb centre means that one of the ingredients is holes!) and the advertising still seems to be aimed at women, but they are not a female product. Just don't mention all the fat in milk chocolate...
Talking of which, I would like to see a dark chocolate version.
A few years ago, Maltesers obtained Fairtrade accreditation, which is a good thing.
(This is a review of the product, not the price).
