Probably the biggest odd ball of them all. Recorded in the space of only a few weeks, this is a very raw and demo-ish album. Great guitar-work by Mark Thwaite, whose rought sound suits it. The album needs a few listens but even the revisit of Forever More makes it worth the purchase.

If you are looking for something a bit different from Mr Hussey then give this a go. It does have a different edge to the rest of his stuff and the album has a sparce/rock feel, but it works. I had to listen to God is a Bullet a few times to realise it was distinguishable from previous stuff, but not with this. However there are enough elements of his trademark sound to make you feel comfortable.

I had not managed to find a copy of this until recently (and not for the outrageous £25 on offer here either) and was very pleased by what I heard.
As usual, Wayne Hussey delivers the goods and the biggest surprise on this has to be the revisited "Evermore and Again", AKA "Forever More" from Children, Grains of Sand & the BBC sets.
This album has a definite sequenced feel, but does not suffer for it at all and there are some new areas explored here.
The buzzy, distorted bass & almost AM radio feel of the opener "Coming Home" - until the second verse when the rhythm section kicks in proper is a real departure.
There are more "traditional" sounding tracks too - "Drown In Blue" would have been equally at home on any of the earlier albums.
I really liked this record - a lot. Shame it is so hard to find these days

Incidentally, I wonder what track - if any - is guested by Steve Jones, given the credit in the "Love & Appreciation" section of the credits to "Stevie Sex Pistol"??

If you have listened to Masque, Carved in Sand, or Children and thought they were good DO NOT BUY this CD. You will be sorely disappointed. Leave it on the shelve.

This is one of my favourite Mission albums - subtle and interesting
