Brilliant! Intrigue, Emotion and that’s just in the Brunetti home...
6 October 2018
I’ve been reading these Brunetti books in chronological order and this, in my opinion, is the best so far. The case concerning a kidnap brings out emotions in Brunetti I’ve not experienced before. It causes him to think deeply about about his family and his relationship with them. And how they subsequently respond to his concerns. We also get a glimpse of how he views his colleagues - some with huge respect, others with complete disdain. This book is as much about the characters who occupy the story as the story itself. A thoroughly good, and thought provoking read.
