2 year warranty too inefficient to claim

Simple and effective product. I attached it to an oil heater and it worked perfectly for almost the full duration of the 2 year warranty. When it died I needed 3 calls to an offshore support centre before I received a return authorisation (technical support to prove it's broken, customer support to get authorisation, emailed them proof of original purchase, call customer support again to arrange refund.) The product is obsolete so I could either get a refund or credit to use on their web store. The reason for the 3 star review is the painful means of getting all this processed. I still have to post the item back, send them proof of postage and then give them my account details and wait for the wire transfer of funds. All for a an item that costs under ten pounds. I'll choose another brand for the replacement as the Belkin warranty is onerous and they won't be able to provide a straight replacement as it's now obsolete.
