The album Sibongile by Mafikizolo is a great style of music which is very popular in SA. The song Gugo' Thandayo is in my opinion the best song on the album, the vocals by the lead singer are great and it doesn't take long before your tapping your foot to the music. Also the song Sibongile is one of my favourites. Their other album Kwela is also a great mix of South African music.

South Africa is responsible for some unique music and this has clear kwela influences. I think it's something that you will either like or hate - I can only say that I've had 3 passe4ngers in my car recently and they all liked it.

'Mafikizolo' are a well known band amongst South African's and across African in general.
'Sibongile' is one of many awesome albums by this South African Kwaito outfit (Hip Hop with a difference!!!).
The hugely catchy 'Ndihamba Nawe' will have you singing along whatever your age or musical persuasion - irrsspective of the lustful meaning of the lyrics!
'Marabi' has a African Time (of the best and simplest of life)feel to it, while the rest of the album has songs ranging from the good to the sublime in my opinion!
I defy you to find a more quintesential Kwaito sound. Go on just give it a try!

Mafikizolo's Sibongile is a great album. It takes a style of music from early days in Sophiatown right to current style of music. It is a must have for any person wanting to hear the talent in South African music.
