More of a Sandy Denny solo affair than a full blown Fairport effort, the album eschews the usual traditional fare in favour of written material. The production is silky smooth which, to be fair, does suit the songs, but it lacks the punch of earlier albums.

There are a couple of gems; the title track is an instant Fairport classic but Dave Swarbrick's "White Dress" is gorgeous and probably worth the price of the album alone.

It's probably not the best album to serve the curious as an introduction to Fairport Convention but if you're a fan of the band or in thrall to Sandy Denny, it's well worth the effort.

Beautiful track, with lovely Sandy Denny at her best. Stunning.
