Sulu Cat's Review
on 30 September 2016
My cat shares his opinion. I'm writing what he says. :-D
"The first five times my human served this for dinner I loved it. I mean, I really loved it. The new exciting smell was wonderful. I gobbled it up, purred, and licked my chops for more.
So human bought several packs when this was on special offer.
But after the fifth meal, the smell lost its appeal. It smelled boring. And food with a boring smell is not worth eating. It's just goo with lumps. So I decided not to eat it any more.
My human kept serving it up, because she had a shelf full of that stuff. She even tried alternating and mixing it with other kinds of food. But I recognised that smell which now was off-putting. I sniffed and walked away from the bowl to let my human know what I thought of it.
Humans are highly trainable, and she learned fast, and served me my favourite brands of wet food. (For the record, if anyone wishes to know, these are Gourmet Perle, Smokey and Coshida Basics from Lidl - the latter two being budget brands, so you can see that I'm a very reasonable cat.)
After six months, she served me this stuff again. Not having experienced the smell for a while, I found it moderately interesting and ate a portion. But then I remembered it and declined to eat any more.
So why am I giving this fare three stars, when it's undesirable? Well, it seems other cats like it. The tabby down the road and the ginger next door both enjoy it. See, I'm writing a balanced review of the general feline experience, not just my own.
So my human gave the remaining packs (lots of them) to their humans.
Those cats are happy, their humans are happy, and I'm getting my preferred brands again. That's a good outcome all round, don't you think?
I just hope my human won't ever buy that stuff for me again.
