Love her or hate her, you have to admire her. Right from Blood And Honey to today you have to admit this lady (?) has produced some disco classics over the years. This album is full to the brim with thumping beats, electo-sounds and synth strings. Best tracks are Doin' Fine (Ford and Curnow's TNT mix), terrific voice distortions with a sample of Daddy Cool, trust Dave Ford and Ian Curnow to be relied on from for a fab remix, even in their SAW days. Back To Black (Amanda's Vino Della Casa mix), don't speak Spanish but does that not mean "wine of the house", pun intended!, but an excellent twist to a great song, Suicide Is Painless (Anadin mix) otherwise known as the theme from MASH, Perfect Day (Nocturnal Anthem mix), Always On My Mind(Psychology mix) the PSB track that she seems to struggle a little vocally, Doin' Fine (Devil's Desire mix) and Sorrow (Pete Hammond's Unapologetic mix) the old David Bowie track mixed by another from the days of SAW. OK tracks are Sorrow (Hi-Lites mix), I Don't Want To Lose You (Lost And Found mix) and Do You Really Want To Hurt Me (Sanctuary mix) which I'm not sure if Culture Club could go disco. Forget Someone Else's Eyes (Boy George and Kinky Roland mix), sorry George, For What I Am and This Is Not America, totally skippable! Still, great to see a goddess from my youth still going strong, no thanks to the UK! There was always speculation to her gender, me thinks she has spent more on face augmentation, but who cares, we will always LOVE her!!!
