Sorrentino is a director with a wide range of styles. These four films are each very different from the other, but I found them all very good, and I suspect they will repay watching again. The docu-drama of Il Divo, the strange twin lives of One Man Up, the plot and counterplot of The Family Friend and the collapsing calm of The Consequences Of Love; all are worth watching and worth watching carefully. Sorrentino has an Italian verve, but it is not the Italy of lounge lizards and la bella figura; it is just very good individualistic cinema, tight plots, lovely camera work and a refusal to ever take the easy route.
