I just finished watching this collection (Season One, effectively) and am now working my way through Season 2, 'Flight of Fancy'. It is absolutely brilliant! It is one of the sweetest, most touching, heart-warming stories ever. The story tells how struggling, unlucky-in-love student Keiichi Morisato one night dials a wrong number, and gets through to the Goddess Help Line. Much to his surprise, he then gets a visit from the goddess he just spoke to on the phone, one Belldandy (who just happens to be drop-dead gorgeous), who grants him one wish. In a fluster, he wishes for a goddess like her to stay with him forever, and even more to his surprise (and hers too, apparently), his wish is granted. The story covers their budding relationship, and more characters join the fray; her sisters, lesser goddesses Urd (the cynical, mischievous older sister) and Skuld (the bratty little sister), his sister Megumi (who is at the same college as him, and also studying engineering), his colleagues from the motor club (of which he is a member at college), rich bitch Sayoko Mishima, cute but boy-shy Sora Hasegawa, demon Marller, and even a robot (built by Skuld, who is into gadgets) called Banpei. The goddesses are based on the Norse legends of the Norn (hence the odd names, even for the Japanese!); the main characters live in a temple (which Keiichi looks after while the priest is away on pilgrimage), and much time is spent at Keiichi's college, Nekomi Tech. The characters are mostly lovable (except for Sayoko, who is a spoilt, manipulative, selfish cow, with no redeeming features), and the interrelationships are warm, cute and heart-warming. I couldn't stop watching this; I even got the novel 'First End', and the soundtrack album (the music is great!), and now the movie. I cannot recommend it highly enough; if you are into anime, you must see this - it is excellent!

I love this series it just full of cuteness and rather a good story that comes with it. You can't help but fall in love with the series and it's characters.
Belldandy is at the heart of this series looking after a young teenager who wished she could live with him forever! The series very fun through out.

The Movie is much more serious to this series and worth getting as well.

Great show for most anime fans, but the encoding could have been done better my MVM Entertainment.
This Anime is about love/romance between a Goddess and a Human. An entertaining adventure.
If your are starting to watch anime and you like this genre, this is a good entry anime to the fandom.

It is an amazing series.
At first I thought this was going to be a bit girly for me, but I warmed to it right on the first episode. This is also a great DVD to start from and highly recommned for anyone and everyone to watch this show. It just gives you a nice feel good feeling at the end of most episodes and is a touching love story. If anyone isn't sure then watch the first episode at least and then make your mind up.
This truly is a show I could watch over and over.

Lovely story about a goddess and an human misfit falling in love and the adventures they have trying to protect their relationship from everything the universe can throw at them from jealous beauty queens, over eager sisters and sibling rivalry

I have all of the manga books of this anime plus I now have both seasons of it. Totally in love with it! My only problem is that there are only 2 seasons! :)
