Great little recorder
on 4 August 2011
I really liked this little recorder.
It is extremely well made; it feels as if it was chiselled out of a solid piece of aluminium.
It records in a wide range of formats, and will accept a line input and an external microphone (although only via 3.5mm jack). Whereas the quality of the microphone input circuits may not match a Fostex they are perfectly good enough for recording interviews for radio. I use mine for a local community radio station.
The battery life is long so the lack of a supplied dc power supply is no problem, and the small internal speakers are useful for checking recordings.
Because of the large capacity of its internal memory and its acceptance of cheap sd cards, I often use it to record the radio. In wma mode it can quite happily record all day without the need to set up timers.
Also the recorder will fit into a large hard spectacles case (£5 from Boots!)
Excellent little machine.
