As a Kevin Smith fan I've heard him on many a podcast about how rubbish Cop Out is. So, for the cheap price for a Blue Ray I thought I'd check it out.

And I've got to say Kevin was right! Its just rubbish from start to finish. I know Smith has a problem with Bruce Willis but I thought he was fine. The problem for me was the story and the (non) acting of Tracy Morgan. He is beyond poor. For a main player in the story he is unbelievable and ruins what is a poor premise anyway.

This must be one of Bruce Willis's worst ever movies made even more banal by the overacting loud crass stupidity of Tracy Morgan who's idea of comedy is to shout and scream and if he doesn't get a laugh then he shouts and screams louder. It was terrible. I tried and tried to watch the movie but in the end I had to turn it off as it was so irritating. Do not rent this movie. It will do your head in

I'm a fan of most of Bruce Willis stuff - from Moonlighting onwards. This film was obviously chosen for a reason other than the script. The chemistry between Willis & Morgan never really works (apart from right at the end - maybe). The film was on the border line of being fast forwarded - perhaps 2.5 stars would nearer the mark! Actually I've just thought about the "plot" and huge chasms in the story line & down graded it to a 2 star - sorry Bruce

Surely Bruce cannot have made this turgid pot boiler because he needed money for the rent, so why did he become involved in such a turkey? Did he not read the (very potty-mouthed) script? Comedian Tracy Morgan is his police side-kick, and is wildly mis-cast. The plotting is predictable and absurd. The blurb promises that laughs hit hard, but despite being a die hard fan of Bruce Willis and therefore disposed to like his laconic humour, I could not even raise a chuckle. One to dispose of at the car boot sale, and write off to experience.

Not one of the best movies with Bruce Willis in it. I love comedies, but this movie was not a love of mine. I give it 2 stars because I managed to watch it until the end without turning it off. I won't be sorry to lose this film in my DVD cabinet.

Come on Bruce. Were you short of money when you took this part?
(I don't normally do negative feedback but this just couldn't get anything else)
