Loved the Yule boot; these don't compare.
on 4 January 2010
I bought the knee high Yule boots and loved them, so I thought I would get these ankle boots to wear with formal trousers for work. Big disappointment, as where the Yule boots are roomy and comfortable, the Yeddo bootie is tight and restrictive.
The main problem for me is that, once I have put my arch supports into the boots, getting my feet in becomes a matter of mad pulling and squeezing. This means that my socks get pulled upwards, cramping my toes. It doesn't help that the lining has started coming away - it bunches up, creating pressure points on my feet.
I don't think that getting a size larger would have helped - the boots are long enough, but they have a seam running across the arch of the boot which is a bit like a vice. So beware, comfy boot lovers - these might not be right for the wider-footed of you!
*UPDATE FEB 2012*
Just bought a larger size (a 'used' Amazon return). Much better - comfy and slipper-like. If you have wide feet or high arches, go one size up.
