Hadn't heard of this band before reading about them in Metal Hammer magazine. Was not disappointed with this album. Have heard earlier albums and they have got better as time goes on. As a sabbath fan, I like my music heavy with good riffs. Ticks all the boxes re vocals, guitars and purcussion. Good tunes from this 3 piece band. Very surprised they aren't better known. Highly recommended. Still have it on repeat in the car, now.

As I have said in some other reviews, I won't bother describing their sound, influences etc, listen to the samples and you'll get the idea. Suffice to say, the emphasis is on riffs, tremendous vocals IE not growling. I haven't heard much of the bands earlier music which is apparently doom/sabbath like, but while there is some of that here, its generally more straight ahead rock.

This is pretty solid if unremarkable power metal, with the heathen, Viking theme but no folk/black elements - would sound fine driving, or in the background at a metal pub, and I am sure would be fun live.
