Beware the low quality poles
on 16 July 2016
I'm dissapointed by the quality of the poles on this tent. After a combined total of about a week being pitched, they are almost all bent on the ends where they plug together, and the metal connecting plugs have also become a bit loose (see attached photo). Honestly, I still have the poles from my 10 year old 20 EUR tent and they look better - too bad they don't fit this tent. I don't trust them to survive stronger winds anymore, they'll probably snap at the ends.
Apart from the poles, the tent is fine and would have gotten 5 stars from me. I imagine the side entrance won't be convenient for 2 people and they'll have to snuggle to fit in as well, but for 1 + plenty of gear it's perfect. Well ventilated, big mesh vent on the top and another on half of the door, the rain cover works fine... For the price it's a great tent, if a bit on the heavy side.
