This book is an attention-grabbing story. It is claimed to be a true story but I do not really believe that because it just does not feel real at all. I really enjoyed this book a lot and would rate it 9/ 10. It is just exceptional and I would strongly recommend it to anyone who loves cats or maybe has one that passed away. It is about a family, (the author's probably, since it is in first person), who have had many cats but, unfortunately they all die; so the family pledge not to get another cat. Will that change when they meet Tiggy, a mother of six adorable kittens. Find out in this book...

This sweet book tells the true story of a stray cat that visits Miss Read. Miss Read vowed 'never again' after losing their beloved cat in a road related accident, but when a stray cat and her kittens move into the log shed, the sight of the cat family playing together melts her heart.
This is a lovely book and just the right length to read in one sitting. The copy I read was beautifully illustrated too. Purrfect!

always loved Miss Read and this lived up to usual standard and expectations. Love the country atmosphere of her books. Makes you want to live the life, it's so real.

A really heartwarming and amusing story. Not anything like the Miss Read books but it goes without saying that she came up trumps again.

Continues Amazon's tradition of not listing book length for Kindle versions. I paid £4.99 for what was virtually a pamphlet and returned it for that reason. A sweet little story of cat keeping but not up to Miss Read's usual standards. Considerably affected by the many typos and bizarre paragraphing which seem to be becoming such a feature of kindle books.
