TS4 led me to buy TS3 then the TS1 3-CD Audio set.
I'm looking forward to the release of TS2. Hopefully,
there'll be DVD's entitled TS5, TS6 etc.
The format is in some ways better than being at a concert
where you'd be unlikely to see the artists in such detail.
There are many clips on Youtube but the picture quality
isn't a patch on that provided by the DVD. These artists
along with the BBC have produced for me entertainment magic.

Having watched this series recently on BBC4 it was a 'musthave'. Every musician, every singer is superb. Relaxing and enjoyment at its best - I can't get enough of this series. It will not disappoint. If you have never tried the 'Transatlantic Sessions' before then this is a good place to start. Be warned - you will get hooked. If you love folk/celtic you will love this.

This DVD isn't quite as good as Series 2, which was an absolute gem but still a great listening experience. Jerry Douglas and Aly Bain seem to be a little more self-conscious about the performance in this series than they were earlier. They are clearly aware at this stage that they are onto something big and so perhaps more considered about who they ask to join them whereas earlier it was a more natural surprise how it all came together.
