This book engages with fundamental free-market economics and applies them to the current financial situation primarily in the USA but with global perspective. It explains why the crash was coming for years, why the government stimulus and bailouts is the completely wrong fiscal policy for its citizens. Monetary policy is also covered with a warning of high inflation from the treasury printing money to cover government debts. This combines to predict a massive collapse in the US dollar, higher inflation and the biggest (coming) depression of all time.

The same fiscal and monetary policy was undertaken by every western government at the time of the crash and therefore makes this book highly relevant to readers in all these countries.

This book has opened my eyes to the world of government interference in the free market economies of the west. It explains where to invest your funds to protect them from the collapse of the dollar and where your funds will grow -gold, silver, overseas asian economies. The author puts his money where his mouth is - he does what he preaches many "guru's" do not.

This is the best investment you will ever buy - knowledge of how the global economy works and where to put your money.

This book is essential reading for those who want to know what is going to happen in the next 5-10 years. The crash has barely begun. Protect yourselves now while there is still time.

This book is simply brilliant! It corrects all the falsehoods that were taught to me throughout my bachelors and masters degrees in economics. The world would be far more successful if this book was taught to politicians, economists and the general public before they leave school. Peter Schiff was one of the few who predicted the credit crunch and had the courage to argue against those who mocked him. Take a look on youtube for the videos called "peter schiff was right" if you want to find out more. I bought it from a second hand seller. It was a good copy and saved me a lot of money.

Although I don't agree with his views on immediate coming inflation and perhaps even hyperinflation in a period with destruction of debts (and money) in banks, this book is very entertaining.
His views on gold and commodities are definitely worth reading and considering when balancing an portfolio.

A most amazing book if you want to understand finance and what is going on behind our backs. How the banks are parting us from our money and what you can do to stop them and profit. Boost your wealth while the CNBC listners loose their shirts.

A gloom and doom book written primerly as a prelude towards the introduction of specific funds managed by the author. A previous similar book was introduced to the market in the eithtees by Robert Beckman who forcasted the same apocalypse for the eightees. The world still goes on today.

Predictive books are all good but some of his prediction haven't come good........yet. Overall, a good read. Would definitely recommend. Quite an easy style also.

Whilst this book clearly explains the economics and moral hazards which have led to the neutron-bomb economics of the US in particular, but not excluding most everywhere else, the remedies proposed are akin to stitching the family jewels into coats and fleeing the country, as European refugees had to do when escaping to the west: the UK or the US.

Unfortunately, even this possibility is now almost not a possibility due to the recent anti-terrorism legislation and money-laundering legislation which has recently been implemented, and is in force in Switzerland, the US and UK, and almost everywhere else. An example of what this means in practice, is 'Operation Rize' as executed by the London police.

Therefore, Americans have no alternative but to seize their democratic opportunities in 2010 and 2012, and install government which adheres to constitutional principles as per property rights, the soundness of money and the proper relationship between the state and the individual, so as to maximise liberty and happiness.

The alternative is to sink to the level of the beans-and-bullets brigade and a bag of scrap silver, which is precisely where Americans in 2010/2012 cannot realistically want to be.
