IT DOES CHARGE MY E-READER BUT WITH A BIT OF PATIENT TWIDDLING ABOUT
on 7 July 2016
It worked fine at first, then would not charge up unless I twiddled with the connection at the 'DC in' socket in order to get the charging light to illuminate on my Sony e-reader. It is conceivable that a fault may lie with my e-reader's female socket connection or the mains lead's male connector. Anyway, it does work if the e-reader is placed on a flat surface and both it's charging light and that of the one on the plug both illuminate and stay illuminated during the recharging process. I did try out one of those three pin wall plugs with USB connectivity sockets on them and it achieved absolutely zilch by way of any ability to recharge my Sony e-reader, even though the e-reader's screen displayed an acknowledgement of the connection. I suppose that this mains lead connector is better than nothing if I'm travelling light, away from home, and am not lugging a whole world of the latest technology about with me like an extremely sad computer-junkie-nerd, but something could have been made a little bit better in the plugging linkage here and it may not necessarily be the fault of this mains lead itself.
