It's a good product, but the rouge variable is the poor quality cheap rechargeable battery. It might start off ok, but will soon deteriorate over time. I've replaced mine with a better quality battery, with a larger capacity. This can easily done by unscrewing the back to reveal an ordinary type battery compartment. It takes a single AA battery.

Product delivered promptly and intact. This is our second purchase of these lights and the original one bought two years ago is still going strong.
Nice bright colourful lights. Good product. Recommend both seller and product.

Just love my fairy lights! We got a pair and have wrapped them round 2 trellises that we have in our garden. When they go on at night they look so beautiful. It's been awful weather this summer but even on the rainiest days with no sun they do still light up for a good hour or two in the evening. When there's a good amount of sun in the day they come on when it starts getting dark and are usually still on past 1am.

Terrible...not worth the money unfortunately. Nice quality and might work in summer but despite having the solar panels in a sunny position they didn't work after the first evening. Very disappointing and have had to return. Customer service from company was helpful.

These are good value, and take a bit of rough garden handling. The solar panel gets a bit suspect after a while and slowly deteriorates in weather, so it won't last for ever - but still a decent product.

As with all similar products, it's unlikely to be the solution you're craving. I knew this going in, so wasn't too disappointed.
If what you want is some decorative lights for a summer (or near-summer) night, then you're in luck.
Unfortunately, if (like me) you're after something to light a dark area during winter, when days are short and daylight is scarce... go with something mains powered.
On a clear sunny day in December, these lights will charge up enough to then last approximately 2 hours after sunset. After that you get a disco flashing display. On a cloudy day, it's a bit more feable.

As far as set-up goes, it's really easy. Lay them out, place the solar panel and switch them on. Easy to use.
