Don't buy it...
on 22 September 2015
I'd ordered my first GoPro camera, the Session, and with it ordered this remote without first reading any reviews in detail of either the remote or the Apps.
When I downloaded the iPad App once connected to the camera it was intuitive and simple to use even when I didn't really know what settings I really wanted to select.
Upon trying out the remote though I was really disappointed, OK so I'm 50 odd and can't read small text without my reading glasses but even with my readers on the only way I could really figure out what the display on the remote was telling me while I was indoors was to put it under the brightest of bright lights.
Why on earth hasn’t this got a luminous display like say the Session?
And then as you're running thru the options and changing selected functions you're never really 100% certain you've set things up as you're wanting to do.
Even though I've found the Windows phone App pretty unreliable in terms of initially connecting to the camera via WiFi I'd still rather use that to configure the GoPro and I also get benefits of a preview mode and access to the videos and shots I've already got on the camera.
I think I wasted my money buying the remote.
I'd only expect to use it maybe once in a while just a remote trigger but never to control settings.
