After watching the TV series, I bought this game and played through it to the end. It's not bad, but it's also not that great either. It suffers mainly from extremely linear gameplay, so you basically have to complete one objective before moving onto the next. The objectives consist of things like finding items for other characters for something in return, finding documents that need to be destroyed, or finding a way to gain entry somewhere. A vast majority of the game involves sneaking behind walls, crouching in tunnels and vents and hiding from the guards' eyes and flashlights. This can become challenging at first, based on what difficulty level you're on, but it soon becomes a little tedious.

There are pretty much no side quests except one or two "little extras". You can opt to take part in underground fights to earn some hard cash and tattoos on your body, and you may also wish to find a random inmate in the prison yard and pick a fight with him. You can build up your strength by lifting weights and punching bags, but apart from that the game really keeps you focused on achieving the main goals. There are also in-game achievements that might keep the player going if things get a little boring.

There is a small back-story in the game that runs parallel to Season 1 of the TV series, which is a nice little expansion on what we already knew, but you don't get to play as any of the TV series characters. Instead you play as a new character, Tom Paxton, and end up meeting and interacting with the main guys like Michael, Lincoln, T-Bag, Abruzzi, C-Note, and others. Most of their in-game visuals look very much like the real actors, and some of the characters' voices were also recorded by the original actors themselves, which is awesome if you're a fan of the TV show!

To conclude, I would say this game is fun to play, but perhaps only once. The visuals are great, and if you're a fan of the TV series, it's fun to see familiar faces in the game. For the hardcore gamer looking for more, I would best avoid it, unless it's on sale for a very cheap price.

...... this is where you'll probably come, if you're a gamer that is.

it's not a bad place to come for a scofield, burrows 'n all fix either.

nowhere near as exciting as the tv series, but it will take something special to come close to matching that.

I'm only about an hour into the game itself but enjoying it so far, looking at digitised replicas of your favourite characters is cool, but sara tancredi is not in it, well she is but not the same likeness or real actors voice.

good so far.
