A good album, lyrics are good and the flow works I got this when it was first released almost a decade ago suprised to see they'e released it officially again.
If it has the same songs as it originally did then many will notice that the style of rap is very diferent from his normal - (For example most of the album is written in a way that employs little use of swearing and is written in almost a 'happy' voice rather than a 'drugged up' one)
To those familiar with the more popular albums such as:
Slim Shady LP
Marshall Mathers LP
Which have a definite hard rap style to them don't expect anything better than these masterpieces but and also don't expect an upbeat, pop-like album like Encore. This album is in a class of it's own just because of the diferent style it was composed in but it has some good songs and, in my opinion, was definitely better than Encore - in which some of the songs were a bit to popstar-like.

However all-in-all Infinite is not a bad album and there are definitely a few songs that will catch the eye of a fan, many will be glad to see it released again after mising the first opportunity to get it.
So as a conclusion -
Good for collectors and those fans with some money lying around,
But as a general rule if you're not a fan...
Don't buy it!

most of the 3 star reviews i've given on amazon have been somewhat positive, but predominantly disparaging whereas this review is the exception to the rule. The obvious thing to do than, would be to give this album 4 stars instead. Well i thnk that would be a little too flattering, but in truth it's closer to 4 than it is to 3 (i'm just a miserable sod). This album is a definite oddity in eminem's discography, it's vibe is mellow and less abrasive than his later and more popular work, it's almost quaint in comparison. Eminem was quoted saying "Infinite was me trying to figure out how I wanted my rap style to be, how I wanted to sound on the mic and present myself. It was a growing stage. I felt like Infinite was like a demo that just got pressed up" Although i agree with most of Marshalls statement I actually think he was being a little bit modest. Yes this is primitive stuff in the context of eminem's career, but it's actually very soulful and smooth. The production's slick sound is at times quite moving and eminems young and innocent sounding voice mixes very well with the chilled beats. His style was critisized for sounding to much like Nas and Az and i can kind of see what they mean, albeit somewhat derivative though i actually think he still sounds remarkably fresh and there's something novel about this album that you certainly don't find anywhere else, i think that has someting to do with eminem's authentic delivery and ingeniously comic imagery here are a few of my favourites

" my pen and paper cause a chain reaction To get your Brain relaxing"
"I run your brain around the block to jog your f***ing memory"
"You can be Run-D, you'll never beat the MC I'll stop the alphabet at S and got it down to a T

Reccommended, especially for Eminem and golden age hip hop fans.

Eminem before he was Eminem, kind of. A very interesting listen. The songs are pretty good, much better than I was expecting them to be. If you're an Eminem fan, this album is definitely worth a listen. Others may find it harder to appreciate.

Oh, Eminem.... Wow. I am not even sure if he could write such material nowadays, but Infinite is definitely one of my favourite albums of all time and a GREAT album by Eminem.
I don't need to write a review on this album. It would be best for you to listen to it on another website and then decide whether or not to buy it. If you are into the 'hate' that has dominated and been a central part of a lot of his most popular work since, or if you are into the cheesy 'bubble-gum rap,' then this album is not for you.
TAKE A LISTEN! I've very rarely seen such incredible lyrical acrobatics.

Great service - I did not select the express option, but it arrived within 24 hours. this has to be the best Eminem CD that I've ever listened to... such mellow songs, compared to his later releases. LOVE IT.
