This is a review for Dexter - Season 3 [DVD].

The third season sees a tiny drop in quality, but it's still an interesting and exhilarating ride.

Dexter accidentally kills an "innocent" man during a struggle at a drug dealers den. The murdered man happened to be the brother of the Assistant District Attorney, Miguel Prado, who is using his clout to pressure Miami Metro Homicide into finding the killer quickly. Dexter, feeling what appears to be "guilt" for the first time, attempts to make amends by tracking down the person he was originally intending to kill - a drug dealer/murderer named, "Freebo"! This is only the beginning of Dexter's problems.

Film ratio is 1.78:1. Audio is DD 5.1. Both picture and sound are perfect. Languages - English. Subtitles - English, English SDH.

Extras - Interviews with the cast, victim's match, inside the writer's room, photo gallery and more.

Overall, a satisfying season, but not as good as the two previous seasons.

Routing for a killer just seems so right when you see his prey.

This is the worst season out of all 6 - you could miss the whole season & catch up quickly...

Ardent recyclist, Dexter Morgan targets murderers who thought they had got away with it. Soon they are fish food.

12 more 50 minute episodes, Michael C. Hall superb as the police blood splatter expert. Excellent too is Jimmy Smits as the District Attorney - an unlikely ally, then a formidable foe. Also making impact is "The Skinner", so adept at torturing with a blade....

Strong storylines and a fine cast. Much macabre humour - especially in Dexter's voice-overs. (Look out, too, for the sly jokes - as with his boat, called Slice of Life.)

Interesting bonuses include interviews with the cast, writers discussing their craft, details of special effects (although set in Miami, that is not where the show is filmed), even a quiz about who killed whom.

An interesting development! Can Dexter be heading for married bliss, taking over two children and about to father a third? Will such responsibilities force him to change his ways? Hopefully not, for something enormously appeals about this seemingly meek man so dedicated to ensuring killers will not kill again.

Great fun.

For all Dex fans just a heads up you will be left thinking "what the hell" this season is not as good as the prev two its watchable dont get me wrong but it's not the best it focus too much on a subject matter that we all know Dex would just get out of the way in his own special way. Stick with it though and look forward to season 4 Which is more like the Dex we know and love.

It seems a very long time ago since I purchased this product and to be honest I cannot say that it has stayed in the memory especially, but I don't recall any issues with it.
